Model Railroading Clinics

Updated 08/21/2023

  • Clinics are educational sessions covering a specific area of model railroading.

  • Clinics are about an hour long each with a half hour at the end for questions, clearing the room, and doing setup for the next clinic. There are clinics that are longer than an hour.

  • Clinics are designed to help you improve your modeling skills, and are presented by recognized NMRA expert modelers.

  • Clinics are free but require your convention registration, though some hands-on clinics may require you to bring or pay for materials. Tools may also be required.

  • Learn about everything from layout planning to model building techniques to technical troubleshooting.

  • Some popular clinics are offered more than once, to allow you more flexibility in how you plan your clinic attendance schedule!

  • A day by day, room by room, hour by hour Clinics Schedule is available at the following link:

  • Confirmed clinics are in the following list. More will be added when confirmed.
