Clinic Presenter Brian Barnt




Brian Barnt has been a Life Member of the NMRA since 1986. He has worked in the Technical Department since 1993, and was the chairman of the DCC Working Group from 1995 til 2003. He has worked on the metal track guages since 2001 and developed the HO Modern, N Modern, On30 Narrow and On3 Narrow plastic adapters. He has been awarded a President's Award, a Meritorious Service Award and an Honorary Life Membership (HLM 66) for his varied work in the Technical Department. Currently, he is the Technical Department Electrical Manager and OpenLCB/LCC Liaison.



CLINIC - Make & Take, Hands-on "Getting Started with LCC" $$$


This is a Make & Take Clinic. It is limited to 15 attendees. The Registration cost for this clinic is $150.

This hands-on clinic has a short presentation and a self-paced hands-on portion. The hands-on portion uses the RR-Cirkits Starter Kit, Signal-LCC, and a simulation board for this presentation. Attendees will 'take' the parts home afterwards.

The goal of this clinic is get you, the attendee, familiar with configuring an LCC node. Examples include block detection, switch activation and position, crossing signals, and color position signals.

Attendees will need to supply a laptop with a USB-A port and the JMRI software installed prior to the clinic.
