MAKING YOUR CONVENTION VISIT MORE ENJOYABLE

Your time at the 2023 Texas Express International Convention is very valuable. The Convention Committee wants you to be able to enjoy every bit of that time. We have some thoughts, questions and tips on this web page to help you figure out how to maximize your convention enjoyment. So, lets get started.

  • The Gaylord Texan is NOT just a hotel. It is a BIG resort and convention center.
  • If family members are coming to the convention with you, sit down together and plan together.
  • Take time to learn as much as you can about this convention before you leave home!

  • Where and when will events like clinics be held. Where are those rooms?
  • Use the Floor Plan & Locations link on the Homepage.
  • Learn about Transportation to the Convention and getting around in the area.
  • Use the Arriving and Getting Around link on the Homepage.
  • Learn about the convention's schedules.
  • Decide what scheduled things you want to do.
  • Make a plan! Do this before you leave home. Sure it will change but be ready!
  • The more you know, the more you will ENJOY THE CONVENTION!

  • Transportation, tours, hotel, food, shopping need to be in your budget plan.
  • Read the web site & decide which tours, clinics you want to attend.
  • Where, when and what are you going to dine? How are you going to get to that eating place?
  • Know what you are spending day by day.
  • Spend to your plan! Control your budget!.

  • How are you arriving in the Dallas Fort Worth area - Amtrak, Airline, Greyhound, Automobile?
  • How are you getting to the Gaylord Texan? Did you read the Arrival web page on this web site?
  • Do you know the arrival and departure times for all your travel steps?
  • If traveling by car, where will you park your car (the Gaylord parking garage)?
  • Parking for convention attendees who are a registered guest staying at the Gaylord is $15 per day with In-N-Out privileges.
  • Parking for convention attendees who are NOT a registered guest of the Gaylord is $15 per day WITHOUT In-N-Out privileges. Those convention attendees must go to our convention office(1st Floor Vinyard Tower, Davis 2 Room) every day to get a sticker to put on their parking ticket that will give the discount to the $15.
  • If you have special parking needs such as valet, trailers or RVs, you must contact the Gaylord directly. The convention has no arrangements for these special needs.
  • What about that changes during the convention?
    -    Our Registration link by Eventsquid can help.
    -    Stay on top of schedules in the website and the Timetable (obtained at check-in).
    -    Video Boards at various convention locations will advise of events and changes.
  • Start building your August 20-26 convention "I want to see/do" schedule before you ever leave home using website!
  • Changes to the convention schedule will happen. Be ready to look for changes on the website & video boards.
  • You can't attend all the clinics. Which ones must you attend? Which are just nice to attend?
  • You can't attend all the tours. Which ones must you attend? Which are just nice to attend?
  • What are you going to do if must see clinics or tours are at the same time?
