Jeff has been an NMRA member since early teens.
He originally modelled Australian prototype, but moved to US HO due to great advertising by America's Hobby Center in NY.
On moving to NY to live in 1983 he moved to N Scale.
He has built many layouts for himself and others.
Currently Leeville (jeffsrailroad.com) is a double deck N Scale in its own room with over 350 feet of mainline.
CLINIC - Scratchbuilding Industrial Scenes
Jeff had a 6x2 foot (1800x500mm) shelf that cried out for a stub end terminal. He decided on a rough plan and
instead of a general industrial area built it as one industry - an ethanol plant.
However in N Scale there were not many kits: hence scratchbuilding.
Jeff will take you through the planning but focus on how to "mock up" the potential buildings and then create them.
You will see one building from foam-board to finished product and see that you can also scratch build.
