Clinic Presenter David Hager

David got his first train set for Christmas at the age of 6. His grandfather worked for the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe based in Galveston, TX. His love of trains came from the many train trips he took with his grandmother - David and his brother rode free on the Santa Fe. David traveled to Galveston every summer as a boy and often spent time on the wharves eating seafood, watching wildlife, looking at ships and of course the trains.

David’s career was in the automotive manufacturing industry performing R&D testing as well as preventing, diagnosing and correcting problems. He was the test engineer for the first anti-lock brake system (ITT Teves Brakes), the first auto-up window (Siemens electric motor) and the original power running board for the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition (with Valeo electric motors).

In his spare time, David enjoys reading, German Festivals and designing things which he often uses for his wife’s homemade bath products.
